Why do people overspend (IMHO) on eBay?

I’ve been looking at iPod shuffles, the new ones that are teeny tiny OMG I can’t find it it’s that small.
On eBay they’re going for more than the price Apple is charging. I’ve seen this with other items as well that are not hard to find in stores. [...]
